CC Summer Music Festival: Festival Artists Concertat 5 W. Cache La Poudre St.

Monday’s program opens with the second movement of Quintet for brass by Sacco, Little Suite of Miniatures, featuring five mini-movements, with Jean Laurenz and a selected Festival Fellow on trumpets, Michael Thornton on horn, a selected Festival Fellow on trombone, and John Rojak on bass trombone. Next, Alice Dade, flute, and Bion Tsang, cello, take the stage for Barker’s An Linne Ghlas (Grey-green Estuary), followed by Festival Fellow conductor (and composer) Sam Wu’s Mass Transit, performed by Susan Grace, piano; Scott Yoo, violin; Stefan Hersh, violin; Toby Appel, viola; Bion Tsang, cello. The program continues with Arnold’s Oboe Quartet, Op. 61, featuring Laura Griffiths on oboe with Stefan Hersh, violin; Toby Appel, viola; Mark Kosower, cello. The evening concludes with Khachaturian’s Trio for clarinet, violin and piano, with Alan Kay, Ayano Ninomiya, and William Wolfram.
