2026 Japanese Cultural Bazaarat 1520 Verde Drive

Experience Japanese culture at the 2026 Japanese Cultural Bazaar, featuring food vendors, artisan booths, cultural demonstrations, and hands-on activities for all ages. We are planning a fun and engaging day with a wide variety of vendors – from antique merchandise to local book authors. Jolene Gutiérrez, author of Unbreakable: A Japanese American Family in an American Incarceration Camp (co-authored with Minoru Tonai), will host a workshop, and Leigh Barrow will present story time based on a historical novel featuring Ōoka Tadasuke, set in the era when Tokyo was still called Edo. The event will also showcase dynamic performances ranging from Japanese martial arts to cosplay dance and taiko drumming, creating a lively and welcoming celebration of Japanese culture in Southern Colorado. Join us for a vibrant, family-friendly day of cultural discovery, community connection, and cultural appreciation.
