Fidéle Youth Dance Company Presents: 'The Wemmicksat 21 Broadmoor Avenue

Fidéle Youth Dance Company is proud to present: “The Wemmicks,” created from Max Lucado’s “You Are Special.” Join us in the Wemmick Village, where the wooden people spend their days sticking gold stars on the talented and admired, and gray dots on the flawed and outcast. Punchinello is covered in dots and feels worthless until Lucia, a Wemmick with no dots or stars at all, explains that Punchinello’s value doesn’t lie in the opinions of other Wemmicks. He is special simply because Eli the woodcarver made him, and Eli does not make mistakes. Punchinello begins to see his dots fall to the ground the more time he spends with Eli, and, together with Lucia, sets out to tell the other Wemmicks of the good news he’s found. Performed by Fidéle Youth Dance Company. Directed by Mimi McKinnis with original music by Philip Hale.
