EPIC opens the 2026–27 season with an intimate evening of clarinet, bassoon and piano featuring Boris Allakhverdyan, Whitney Crockett and Alin Melik Adamyan. The program pairs lyrical melodies and operatic drama with virtuosic works by Massenet, Saint-Saëns, Mendelssohn, Bellini, Weber and Glinka. “Whitney Crockett is one of the seminal bassoon players of our generation in the world and it is a rare opportunity to hear him performing in a chamber music capacity and especially iconic pieces like Glinka and Saint-Saens,” Sergei Vassiliev. An intimate venue, Chapman Foundations Recital Hall places audiences close to the musicians and the music. Following the concert, the performers will remain onstage for EPIC’s signature 10-minute audience Q&A. One performance only.
