Pikes Peak Zine Fest is a free annual indie art market where you can shop human-made zines, books, art, prints, stickers & more from 40+ local & national zinesters. Many of our Exhibitors also are open to trading zines if you bring your own, & we host a Free Table of freebie zines & prints (including our free Anthology)! Come learn all about zines, how to connect the analog way, & engage with our local print community! Pronounced “zeen” from magazine, zines are small circulation (1000 copies max, but usually 100 or less) self-published magazines & books that can be about any topic big or small & can contain any type of visual art, written word, or combination. Made to be accessible, commonly made via photocopier, they have historical roots in activism (particularly Black & Queer artists), punk & underground scenes, & pre-internet fandoms as a way to connect & organize community.
