Please join for our Block 1 Anthropology Speaker Series lecture by Maximilian Viatori (Illinois State University Department of Sociology and Anthropology). Drawing on over a decade of ethnographic research, this talk explores the possibilities of “blue justice” frameworks for adequately addressing the persistent marginalization and dispossession faced by Peru’s artisanal fishing communities and the ocean ecologies that sustain them.
