A world premiere rooted in Colorado Springs history. Join Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble for “Voices of a New World,” commemorating Colorado’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th through music inspired by American stories, voices and landscapes. The program features the world premiere of “As Starlight Erupts” by Kile Smith, commissioned by CVAE with text from “Tesla’s Walk” by Colorado Springs author and CVAE founding member Jimmy Sena. Also featured is “The Dawn’s Early Light” for choir, guitar quartet and cello. About Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble: Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble (CVAE) was founded in 1992.
