EPIC Concerts welcomes soprano Lucy Fitz Gibbon for a captivating evening of voice, piano, and clarinet—an intimate program that bridges tradition and innovation.
Praised for her “dazzling, virtuoso singing” by the Boston Globe, Fitz Gibbon is recognized for her expressive range and commitment to expanding the classical canon. Her work brings together music from across eras, creating space for both timeless masterpieces and evolving artistic voices.
The program features Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock, a beloved work for soprano, clarinet, and piano, alongside selections by Bartók and Spohr. Fitz Gibbon is joined by pianist Qing Jiang and EPIC Artistic Director Sergei Vassiliev on clarinet, creating a dynamic and richly textured performance.
As with all EPIC concerts, audiences are invited to engage directly with the artists during a post-concert Q&A—offering insight into the music, the process, and the performers themselves.
